These 5 things consume a lot of “blessings”, so do them as little as possible!
Because faith is in the heart but not in the form.
People who truly understand Buddhism will understand cause and effect and will know the truth that “there is no way to bring about blessings and misfortunes, only people bring them to their own devices”.
Blessings in life are not something you can ask for. No one will give you blessings out of thin air.
No disaster will be caused to you innocently, everything is the retribution of good and evil inspired by yourself.
If you want to obtain blessings, you must work hard to cultivate blessings, instead of dreaming about pie in the sky every day. How to cultivate good fortune and avoid disaster?
Don’t do any evil and do all the good. To put it simply, it means refraining from doing all evil and practicing all good.
“Doing good is like grass in a spring garden, but you don’t see its growth, but it increases every day; doing evil is like a whetstone, but you don’t see its loss, and you lose something every day.”
Blessings increase bit by bit and are consumed bit by bit, but they are no match for excessive accumulation and will lead to qualitative changes.
Don’t wait until your blessings are exhausted before you appreciate them; you should start cultivating and cultivating your blessings now. These 5 things consume a lot of “blessings”, so do them as little as possible!
1. Unfilial parents
No matter how much merit a person does outside or how many earth-shattering things he does outside, if he is unfilial to his parents at home, he will
No amount of meritorious deeds can make up for the debt one owes to one’s parents. Those of us who study Buddhism should understand even more,
“Filial piety” is the most basic and greatest good thing for a person. If you are not filial to your parents, worshiping Buddha is useless.
“You are unfilial to your parents in the hall, so what’s the use of worshiping Buddha wholeheartedly?” Many people are obsessed with looking outside for the so-called efficacious,
The “Buddhas and Bodhisattvas” who can keep you safe are your parents. Be filial to your parents.
There is no need to burn incense and worship Buddha, just accumulate great merit. Buddha also said that parents are the greatest blessing in the world.
People who are filial to their parents will have great blessings; those who are not filial to their parents will lose their blessings.
2. talking about right and wrong
I advise everyone to take good care of their words, not judge others, control their mouths, and guard their hearts at all times.
Don’t talk about others, it may not be true in front of you, let alone what is right and wrong. Sometimes it can cause fatal harm to others.
Not harming others is the most basic compassion of being a human being. If we cannot bring benefits to others,
But please remain kind and don’t cause trouble to others.
Saying a mean word will harm others and not benefit oneself; saying a happy word will be dignified and increase blessings.
To have pure verbal karma is to build up your reputation and character for yourself. The mouth is the door to blessings and misfortunes. Only by guarding your mouth and mind can you avoid misfortunes coming from your mouth.
Before you say anything, think twice. What others do has nothing to do with you.
Not interfering with other people’s lives is the foundation of being a human being. I advise everyone not to speak lies or speak nonsense,
Don’t talk nonsense or speak harshly. Speech that pleases people’s hearts is the most auspicious.
3. Anger, complaint, and calculation
If the hostility in a person’s heart is too strong, blessings and good fortune will be far away. “When a thought arises in the heart, millions of obstacles will open.”
The more people care about you, the less blessing you will receive. Buddhism teaches that “the greater the measure, the greater the blessing.” The more generous a person is, the more he can accommodate blessings.
Just like the “Big Belly Buddha” Maitreya Buddha, no matter what circumstances he encounters, he always smiles and does not let heat and trouble get to his heart.
“Everything is created by the mind.” Many problems and troubles in life are caused by inner energy. If the inner anger is too strong,
All obstacles follow. If your heart is not in order, everything will not go well with you. The mind can change its environment, the key lies in regulating the mind,
Change your mind. “The pericardium is too empty, and you can measure the sand world around you.” If you look at everything more openly and calmly, blessings will come.
4. Killing, Abortion
Why does “abortion” have so many consequences? Because you effectively deprive life of its right to come into the world, it is killing in disguise.
People who understand Buddhism know that the truth of the world is “cause and effect”. Whoever you hurt and create bad karma will
Whoever you form a bad relationship with will have to repay the bad debt yourself in the future.
Many people now take killing as their profession. They may not feel bad about it at the moment, and they may even make huge profits from it.
But cause and effect is long-term and complicated. It’s not that cause and effect don’t repay, it’s that the cause and effect haven’t arrived yet.
“When karma and fate meet, you will receive the retribution yourself.” Once the karma and fate are met, you will inflict pain on all living beings, and you will receive the retribution yourself.
5. Having evil thoughts
“Every thought and thought is a cause, and whatever you experience at the moment is a result.” People’s thoughts are the “cause” and what they experience is the “result.”
What is particularly important to mention here is “evil and sexual misconduct”, which mainly refers to people’s thoughts that are not pure and full of filthy evil thoughts.
If the mind is not right, the virtue will not be matched, the blessings will be greatly depleted, and there will be many disasters.
How many blessings a person has is proportional to his virtue. If he behaves immorally, his virtues will not be able to bear the blessings.
Blessings will be missed, so we often talk about “having great virtues”. The heart is the foundation of virtue. Keep good intentions and maintain righteous thoughts.
Only then can we keep our true intentions and accumulate energy. “If you continue to have lustful thoughts, you will never be able to escape from the dust; if you continue to lust after lust, you will fall into the devil’s path.” I hope everyone will keep this in mind.
