Love is the spice of life. A glorious love can bring warmth and strength to people. Everyone longs for pure and sincere love, just like “I wish to be a pair of wings in the sky and a pair of branches on the ground”;

Everyone longs for everlasting love, just like “You should be like a rock and I should be like a reed”; Everyone longs for long-lasting love, just like “Even if the mountains are gone and the sky and the earth are united, I will never break up with you.” So what are the characteristics of true love?

1. Willing to Give

True love is not about possession or taking, but about giving. You are willing to give to your partner with passion and enthusiasm, and you never get tired of it. Of course, this kind of giving is also moderate, and you should love your lover in a way that he or she can accept.

Peter is a section officer in a state-owned enterprise. As a graduate student, this job is undoubtedly an opportunity for rapid growth. Accordingly, he has to devote a lot of time and energy to this job. Later, he started dating his girlfriend Teresa. They are in the passionate love period and have many topics to share every day. They also enjoy each other’s company.

During that time, Teresa was a little depressed because she had just left school and was not used to the pace of society. Sometimes she had trouble sleeping all night.

Peter changed his routine of getting up at 7:30, set the alarm at 6, and called Teresa to give her psychological counseling. After working overtime at night, he would also tell her a bedtime story until he heard the even breathing on the other end of the phone. Teresa asked, “I’m in such a bad state now, I feel like I’m dragging you down.”

Peter said, “You know what? To love someone is to accompany him/her to become better. Everyone has lows, and we happened to meet at this time. I am willing to spend time and energy to accompany you to adjust your mentality, and every time I hear you laugh, I am also very, very happy! I also enjoy this process.”

True love is the willingness to give to each other and care for each other without asking for anything in return. There is a song that goes, “If you fall in love with a flower, you accompany it to bloom; if you fall in love with a person, you accompany him to grow up.” Lovers are not only the icing on the cake, but also a timely help. True love provides companionship, support, hope, and strength.

2. Sufficient sense of security

The sense of security in love is not just lip service, but full companionship given to lovers in the process of getting along; it is not limited to the care in words, but the care in actions; it is the care and yearning, and it is a way of loving that makes lovers feel comfortable and at ease.

Although Peter is very busy on weekdays, he will take photos of breakfast, lunch, and dinner and share them with Teresa. Sharing is not to let your lover know what you are doing but to tell her that you are thinking about her even when you are eating.

Peter would have social events and dinners on weekends, and he would be busy until very late every time. But he remembered Teresa’s habit of staying up late, and he would call her every time he went out to tell her to go to bed early and apply the medicine on time. He would also record a few stories and songs for her to accompany her to sleep.

The sense of security in true love is very obvious. It is said that “If the love between two people lasts for a long time, it does not matter if they are together day and night.” True love is not about being inseparable, but about feeling that the other person is thinking about you all the time.

It seems that his liking and his love protect you like a colorful bubble. When you look out through this bubble of love, everything around you is so gorgeous!

3. Planning for the future

As it says in the poem “To the Oak Tree”, “We share the cold waves, wind, thunder, and lightning; we share the mist, flowing clouds and rainbows. It seems as if we are separated forever, yet we depend on each other for life.” True love is never about pursuing pleasure together, but about supervising each other, making progress together, planning the future together, and not wasting time.

Peter is three years older than Teresa. He has experienced the hardships of trials and hard work. Teresa has just graduated and is still very confused. When asked about her previous love experience, Teresa replied: “Dating with my ex-boyfriend was just eating together, catching dolls, sometimes skipping classes to go traveling, and even not taking time to register for the CET-4 and CET-6. Now that I think about it, I was blinded by love.”

Peter said: “I feel that in love, boys are more mature than girls and rarely act on emotion. So in the process of love, I have an invisible sense of responsibility.

I feel that I have the ability and responsibility to help my girlfriend plan her academic blind spots or plans, rather than indulge in unbridled pleasure with her. True love makes people grow, and I can accompany her from 0 to 1, rather than from 0 to worse. ”

To truly love someone is to sincerely hope that the other person will become better. Everyone is an independent individual. When we are attracted by the shining points of the other person and have the intersection of love, we should grow together with each other instead of consuming each other.

It is about moderate supervision and restraint on each other, active encouragement and companionship, and also about jointly planning for the future and moving towards a better future.

In the process of falling in love, you feel that your thoughts become positive, full of hope and expectation for life, and you feel that you have an invisible support when you encounter setbacks. You feel that you are making progress and growing little by little. You may have met true love!
