When spring is gone, summer will come back, and when autumn is gone, winter will be wonderful.

A situation of favor and humiliation

“There are people in the world who slander me, bully me, insult me, laugh at me, belittle me, despise me, hate me, and lie to me. How should I deal with them?”

“Just tolerate him, let him, let him go, avoid him, be patient with him, respect him, ignore him, stay for a few more years, and you can take a look at him.”

When I read this passage when I was young, I felt that Master ’s words were too weak. However, the older I get, the more I can appreciate the great wisdom of this passage.

If you argue with others about a certain topic and you lose, you will be embarrassed, angry and hurtful.

You may seem happy when you win, but in fact you have lost a friend, even laid the foundation for trouble, and ultimately lost.

Don’t compete with the common people for profit, don’t compete with idle people.

Let your heart be quiet and inactive, with the tolerance of water and the calmness of mountains.

The situation of gain and loss

Have you ever heard a story?

In the desert, someone was carrying a bag and picking up things while walking.

He picked up a lot of gold and gems along the way, but the bag became heavier and heavier, and finally, he collapsed from exhaustion.

The oasis was not far away, but he no longer had the strength to walk there.

Many times, life is like a bag, the more you put it in, the heavier you carry it.

Learn to let go of unnecessary things, don’t care too much about gains and losses, let everything take its course, and only then can you maintain a normal mind.

Life is a process of constant gain and loss. We should deal with it indifferently, gain and lose as the situation arises, and be content with the situation.

The situation between rich and poor

I heard such an interesting fable.

God has a scale designed to measure the weight of character.

A poor man came over and jumped onto the scale naked. The weight was much greater than the weight.

God praised: “Good! It’s top quality.”

A rich man came over. He was afraid that he would be classified as inferior because he was not heavy enough, so he put a thick gold belt around his waist and walked up to weigh himself confidently.

But God shook his head and said, “It’s inferior.”

The rich man was very angry and said to God, “This scale is inaccurate!”

God said: “My scale does not weigh wealth or poverty, but only character. If nothing else, the poor man’s bones are much heavier than yours. Excluding the gold, your bones are so light that they are almost weightless!”

What is most valuable in this life?

Wealth will disperse, appearance will change, and power will be lost. Only good character will never decline.

By guarding your character, you will guard your greatest wealth and your greatest height in life.

The situation of bitterness and happiness

“The kind of person you want to be and the kind of world you expect are all determined by your heart; life is a practice, where pain and joy are all in the state of mind, and everything is the best arrangement.”

Whether we are miserable or happy in life mainly depends on our state of mind.

Only those who can enjoy suffering can understand the true meaning of happiness.

“Walking to a place where the water is exhausted, sit and watch the clouds rise.” Those who can still find happiness when the mountains and rivers are exhausted are truly free, easy and wise people.

Situation of life and death

“Death, like love, is very overbearing.”

Insomnia, disease, and aging often march forward in a menacing procession.

Facing such a situation, the wisest thing to do is to live happily.

a master of calligraphy and painting suffered from insomnia for a while. He had an idea, took out a pencil, raised the manuscript, and simply lay on the bed and wrote a poem:

“Poems and thoughts follow the spring grass, and the green waves rise at night.

I couldn’t sleep because of him and asked me what I thought.

I write hurriedly on the pillow and write each word in front of the lamp.

There are thousands of poems in Jiannan, but I can’t sleep much even if I think about it. “

Not only was he not afraid of illness, he was also not afraid of death. When he was 66 years old, he wrote his epitaph:

“The face is slightly round, and the skin is not thick. My wife is dead and I have no heirs. The loss is still fresh, and the illness is still the same. Sixty-six, it is not a short life…”

Instead of worrying about when death will come, it is better to be open-minded and humorous and live happily.

In this way, disease can escape and death can be kept at bay.

Life is like a situation, and everyone has their own unique life journey. As long as you are optimistic and never give up easily, your youth will eventually bloom.
